My dear husband
I received your letter of the 8th (?) of this month it arrived in good shape I sent you allxxxxxxxx your papers which have been promised to hand to you or to Brantoom it is all that I can find that can be of service to you there I had thought that it would have been finished in England but hope that milord will be favourable to you if you are not continued in your service which the king granted you then I will not live amongst these people for they hate everything having to do with an Englishman all the traders are very angry with the gentlemen who have the patent of the makuase land and say that they want to complain to milord that they have behaved godlessly and there are more who are vexed there are several letters that they have it that is payment for their address they want to destroy it if they can but it is a changeling people one can not count on them there are those who are very glad that your affairs have been referred to milord they think that it will not go your way but I hope that they will be proven wrong I hope Jacob Teunese will handle your papers well as he has promised me sister Schuyler will give it with the 2 young sons
Here is not more but that domenie has not even started a prayer in the church for milord but they say that they won’t get anyone better as who they have now with this break off and commend you into the protection of the Most Highest Your loving wife Alida Livinghston
Johannes will now try very hard to write write to him that he sticks to it and praise him for it
15. The bundle of papers have been sown in leather and promised to deliver to you personally here is such a malcontent amongst the citizens that they have such a patent I say to myself that should it take place that we request to buy the Ondakes land there is more xxxx justice for or as much as this now I hope that milord will be your friend and for that for which they shortchanged you please writewhat we should do in the case of the land of Schipper for he certainly has rented Schaycks farm so we are now waiting what orders you will give concerning that will stop with this and commend you into the protection of the Most Highest
Your loving wife Alida Livinghston
