I am very pleased with your letter [viz.] that you are in good health. And we are having a lot of rain. We will make our stacks now in the meadow and, when that has been done, start cutting our grain which is ripe. I am glad that they have not come to their intention regarding the vacant land. I am sending you 10 kegs of butter; I would like to have a piece of kombeers for that. They were 52 and 51 and 53 and 50 and 54 lb., plus 53, 52 lb., 51 lb. [and] 54 lb., weighed together with the keg. The kegs are 6 and 7 lb.; those have to be subtracted. In haste, I commend you in the protection of the Most [High]. Alida Livinghston.
