My dear husband
Our yacht arrived here on Saturday and 22 they have chosen you for assembly man and there were also people from Katskil and Klaverack to look around and they were very happy and am glad that it is done I have told Syoo (Joe?) and Minck about the kernel and say that it was in there that xxxxx they were sifting from the bran he promises to watch out better we could not get any barrels but now we have again 3 barrels from Ghert so that we will have 9 barrels ready this week we only have one barrel of Trebie (?) he will be ready only in the middle of the other yacht week at the holy days I send you Philip’s letter where the 6 men signed we are selling from the last barrel of rum tomorrow they will unload with this break off and commend you into the protection of the Most Highest Your loving wife Alida Livinghston
April 22 in the manor of Livinghston 1717 Mr. Wessels asks that you go and see Mr. Peijster and see how it is wi the 24 lb of Japick Hooftelingh’s xxxxx whether Lawies (?) paid that or not they desire that the county could be one that we would have nothing to do with that county 212. I hope that Mr. Robbert now minds his business to get a job in law and that we may hear joy from him the Indians did not want Philip Koens and Jacob Koens to settle there and have sent Japick Vosburgh to Pockkenekook and said to Maghiel (xxxxxx) that she was ashamed that she lies so much and said that we had bought everything and that the land they were planting on was ours and that she/they had it for Tatamsit (?) and was his life and each should bring a tapoesie (?) those two think to plant there I send you the writing/notebook of Kollens 122 lb I can not find the purchase where the Indians signed wanted very much to convince them with their own handwriting
