Translation	Show/hide Download PDF 1717 May 8 Dear Husband I have received your letter of May 2nd and learned from that the (absence/ommission?) of the writ which I sent with our yacht and gave orders to Japick to hire another hand if he had contrary wind you write that they rejected our bill of account but we deal with a lot of trouble I hope it will turn around I think the grand monarch has his hand in that our patent comes quite expensive but we should be contented we have very heavy rains here the kills are high the weather begins to calm down and hope people also calm down to do us justice greetings to our children in the manor of Livinghston May 8 1717
