Content Description | Signed by Confederate Cavalry officer Captain T. B. Holland, who served under General J. E. B. Stuart and General Fitzhugh Lee. Printed by West and Johnston, 145 Main Street, Richmond, Virginia. Holland served in Co. F. Virginia Cavalry (Bedford Cavalry). The signature on the rear pastedown is dated "Franklin Co. VA January 9th 1863." There are no notes in the text, which is a listing of 1364 army regulations revised from the army regulations of "the old United States Army" as well as a listing of the articles of war in the appendix (a total of 102 articles). Also includes various blank forms for vouchers and payments. Original worn boards, which are wrapped in a mylar cover, are attached with original string only. |
