Baird" in which Halleck gave his name, his occupation as engineer, his address as San Francisco, and his branches of interest as engineering and mining. In the notes section, Halleck gives a brief explanation of his work as director of the mines, a position he held from 1853-1861. Notes experiments and the use of furnaces superior to those in Spain and Austria. |
