Content Description Bill of sale for two slaves of Philip Livingston, the well known merchant, Continental Congressman, and signer of the Declaration of Independence. co-signed by his son Philip Philip Livingston and by Richard Jeffery Jr. as witnesses. Livingston sold "One Negro Wench named Jen about Twenty four Years Old," and "a negro Girl named Hannah" for 100 pounds of Provincial New York currency to Rieneer Van Giesen of New Jersey. Seal is next to Livingston's signature.
