Contains a report on the opposition of English politicians William Dowdeswell and John Dunning to the passage of the Port Bill of 1774. Dunning states "It now appears to me, that the inhabitants of Boston are much in the same condition as prisoners surrendering at discretion ... " Includes petitions opposing the Port Bill presented to the House of Commons by Americans residing in England. Contains a report on the Quartering Act of 1774 (page two). Mentions other news related to British government, including a recent Parliamentary Act banning town meetings without permission from the Governor (page three). Contains advertisements, notices of sale, and miscellaneous reward posts. |
