Brother Liffingston:
Since my departure from Albany have had no opportunity to let you know about my health, thus these few lines will only serve to let you together know my health and wellbeing, and hope to expect the same from you together at the first occasion, furthermore this one will serve to advise you that the land at Pollepees island has not been bought yet but the same has been promised Brother Cordtlandt by Captain Brockhorst and his Council and the same has been recorded by Mr. Abest (?) so that you don’t have to doubt the success, the same land should have been bought already but because of impediments as sister was dying that they could not go and see the same but from his letters he and his brother Cordtlandt are resolved to go and see it as soon as the waterway is open.
There is no news here worthy of writing. Flour is in Barbados 206 orretten (?) 56 Long Island xxxx wheat is 7 guildxxs per bushel in New York. This should animate you yet more to upset the scoundrels a bit more.

Another year or whenever convenient you can sent another such wild man who isn’t capable of leaving but made his complaints that he didn’t know the road well thus one has sent another wild man with him and both xxxx xxxx went from here departed and yours truly has left the same in the highland and turned around and has all that time here
