Additional Information | According to the provenance, this exercise book was used by Carroll as a student at the Jesuit College de St. Omer in French Flanders. Carroll, an early advocate of the colonies' separation from England, was a Maryland delegate to the Continental Congress from Maryland 1776-1778 and a signer of the Declaration of Independence. |
