Content Description | Justice of the Peace Leonard orders the sheriff of Bristol to attach the goods and person of Jonah Simon. Simon had failed to reimburse Nicholas Moorey 35 shillings for care he rendered to Simon when Simon was sick. Written in the margin of the court order: "Jonah Simon Indian being called three times after eleven of the clock and not appearing, judgment was entered up against him upon default [illegible] payment of 35 s. money & cost of court." |
