Content Description | Writes he is now in Gillisonville at work. He likes the power but enjoys going home every week and being a subordinate in his parent's house. Comments on a dance he attended in Gillisonville which he enjoyed even though he did not know many. Describes using corporal punishment on his boys. Mentions Emmeline Colcock. Asks Charley how it is being a senior at college. States Marion went to Charleston to live with William Colcock. Hutson graduated from South Carolina College in 1859. He was engaged to Emmeline Colcock before he entered service but she died in 1861. |
