Additional Information | Straight enlisted in the Union Army on 6 August 1862 as a Corporal and was mustered into "E" Co. IL 129th Infantry on 8 September 1862. He was promoted to Captain on 1 August 1864 and commissioned into US CT 100th Infantry. He was mustered out on 26 December 1865. |
