Content Description The British Councils Have Been Ordered out of the Confederate States. Brief treatises on pastoral supervision, the vanity of sin, hope, discipline in the young, how sin grows, arguments against pride, and diphtheria are included in this issue. Notes to soldiers encourage repentance, prayer, peace, and friendship. A caricature describes the conversion of a man in dangerous circumstances at sea.
