Content Description | The front cover of an autograph and correspondence album (approximately 80 items) assembled by Scottish poet Thomas Pringle with letters from poets, novelists, essayists, and other writers. The letters in this collection were disbound prior to acquisition by the Gilder Lehrman Collection. They are itemized alphabetically in the range of GLC 496.128-.276, intermittently. Pringle was a Scottish poet and became Secretary of the (British) Anti-Slavery Society in 1827, and some of these letters have come from his correspondence. |
