Explains that they had a hard winter, his little sister died, mother was sick, and he had to come back from Hope School in Springfield, South Dakota. Notes his father is also sick. Indicates he has two other younger sisters, one of whom is in school. Informs Shiras that they will have their picture taken and send it. |
