Content Description Possibly written by Cadogan (First Earl Cadogan) in present day Belgium. Relates "I should be very glad you made all possible haste... for King and [vassels?] going along with Blood to Menin, and Spotswood being sick, I have no body with me..." Requests that the recipient make a plan of Menin, since the plan created by the Prussian captain of dragoons was incorrect.

Additional Information Cadogan fought with the Duke of Marlborough, who led English, Dutch, and German troops during the War of Spanish Succession (1701-1714). Marlborough decisively defeated a French army led by the duc de Villeroi at Ramillies in May 1706 and continued through present day Belgium. He was a supporter of the House of Hanover, and was known for his staunch suppression of Jacobite uprisings.
