Content Description Informs Knox that Lieutenant John Edes plans to leave his post to join the Provincial Service. Edes is on his way to ask Knox for a discharge. Burbeck wants Edes to return to duty and fears the consequences if officers just decide to leave. Also requests an order for his and his men's pay. Burbeck was captain in Knox's artillery regiment.
