Content Description Title from docket. Full title: "Stores necessary to be sent to Fort Pitt supposing [most?] of the same species now there will be expended in an intended expedition." Lists shells, case shot, cylinders, knives, and other items. Verso indicates this document (or a copy) was to be sent to General George Washington. First page in Knox's hand; second page in the hand of his aide Samuel Shaw, who also signs for Knox.

Additional Information The expedition mentioned in this document possibly refers to an expedition led by George Rogers Clark from Fort Pitt in August 1781. He intended to attempt to capture Detroit, Michigan, but an ambush led by Mohawk Indians ended the expedition soon after Clark's departure.
