Additional Information | Sir Edmund Affleck was a British naval officer and served as a lieutenant, master and commander, post captain, and commodore. For services rendered to his country, King George III made him a baronet of Britain and the people of Colchester elected him to represent them in Parliament. He also attained his flag rank, but was never employed afloat as an admiral. |
