Content Description | The Earl of Shaftesbury Anthony Cooper writes to his godson, Ashley O'Rorke, to express happiness that O'Rorke has recovered from an recent illness, but also to point out that he should learn what a blessing health is from the experience. Cooper prays for his godson to become a clergyman, lawyer, or soldier, but not to be Archbishop of Canterbury, Chancellor or Field-marshal, because only God should choose to confer such dignities. He hopes O'Rorke will dedicate himself to advancing His Second Advent. |
