Content Description | Notifies that the Commander in Chief accepts the resignation of Doctor Daniel Bryan as Hospital Storekeeper, and appoints Doctor David Davis into the position. Reports that the corporeal punishment sentenced to Thomas Mattingly of Captain Lewis's Company on 15 September 1795 for leaving his port to sleep, will take place tomorrow. It was postponed because he was ill or pretended to be ill. The punishment will be carried out tomorrow. Wayne was the general in command of the United States Army in Greeneville, Ohio. |
