Additional Information | General John Sullivan served under General Washington's command in the American Revolution. In the summer of 1779 he was sent with a large force to attack the Iroquois nation, and destroyed most of their villages in upper New York. James McHenry was General Washington's secretary during the American Revolution. General James Clinton served under Sullivan during his campaign against the Iroquois. General Edward Hand served under Sullivan during his campaign against the Iroquois. General Nathanael Greene was a great officer and tactician, who also served as quartermaster general of the army from 1778-1780. Signer of the U.S. Constitution. |
