Content Description Colonel Henry Jackson recommends Captain Mullens, who carries this letter to Knox. Reports that Mullens is "an Irish gentleman & has been in the French Service for 20 years." Notes that Mullens seeks an appointment, and if he does not receive such he will take command of a company of Jackson's regiment. Writes, "he appears to me to be a very fine Officer & much of a Gentleman."
