Content Description Three parts. First part dated 16 November. Lists expenditures due to Indian treaties as well as expenses incurred through different departments. Total amounts to $51,464.36. Note stating "By a Statement of this Transaction mark't A it appears that those warrants were negotiated upon Credit under the Controul of the Secretary at War and as it remains unaccounted for why the payment has not been inforced by him, the charge is considered as improper to be admitted to his Credit." Noted as from the Auditor's Office. Second part lists "[Sundry] Errors in [Knox's] a/c current." Total amounts to [$984.05 ?]. Third part lists more expenses incurred by Knox. Dated 10 October and 12 November. Total amounts to $3,672.97. Two notes. First states "In addition to my Certificate of this date I further Certify that the Balance of this Account of $2858.84/100 has been accounted for by the Secretary at War, in an Account fillled by the Auditor of the Treasury the q'Du 1791. No. 1796. The second states "I certify that the above and Foregoing Accts: are True Copys The original of it [which] is filed on Record in this office." Bound with a pale blue ribbon. Watermarked "S W L" and with a hunting horn.
