Content Description Instructs Mitchell, Deputy Quartermaster General at Newburgh, New York, to expect stores arriving from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Orders Mitchell to forward the stores by ship to West Point, allowing the ships containing powder to remain at anchor in the Hudson near West Point, just above the chain (that crossed the Hudson). Written by Samuel Shaw, Knox's aide. Signed by Shaw for Knox. Contains two dockets. One states, "Elias Woodhull."
