Content Description Knox writes to Colonel Heman Swift. Relates that he would quickly appoint the man Swift suggested as conductor, but cannot make such an appointment without the approval of the Board of War. Because the Board is without a conductor, agrees to appoint Swift's man temporarily. Refer to GLC02437.01031 for Swift's original request.
