Content Description | Apologizes for not responding to previous letters, but has been confined to his chamber for a few weeks (Knox had been very ill). Has not "heard of the fate of the Waldo borough Petition." Discusses how to price the land in the face of conflict with the men in town. Is glad to hear of the "firmness" of Captain [George] Ulmer. Discusses arrangements with Captain [Thomas] Vose regarding his managing the Waldo patent lands, and describes his virtues. In an addendum to the note, discusses the reference problem and information he has received from Mr. [Edward H.] Robbins. Has asked Robbins to confer with them (the Winslows) and with Mr. [Benjamin] Hichborn on the subject. |
