Transcript	Show/hide Download PDF [draft] Camp near Dobbs; Ferry 18 Augt 1781. All The Park except [struck: such] the 4 light three pounders which were orderd today are to march [inserted: under yr direction] [inserted in the left-hand margin: and the artificers belonging to your own regiment with travelling forges and a proportion of the illegible] tomorrow morning [struck: under your direction] at 7 o Clock in the manner [struck: hereafter directed.] that will be directed hereafter. The spare ammunition and every thing belonging to the park are included in this order - [struck: You are to state the direction of the Park] The route will be to Kings Ferry at which place you will cross with 2 three pounders, three five & and half inch howitzers, and five six pounders with [struck: all] the [inserted: tumbrills &] ammunition belonging to them, 200,000 musquet Cartridgs, if [struck: he] [inserted: Mr Fothingham] has them, if not, he may have them at Stony point by Monday after tomorrow. I will order them there. [2] The remaining peices [struck: and] Waggons & ammunition must be [struck: left behind subject to four] be [inserted: left at [struck: stoney Point] Verplancks Point] [struck: to West Point in such place as shall be] directed [struck: by] [inserted: for] further orders - [struck: The Comm] All Cranes regiment must be left behind of every description & all yours must be taken with you & also the Commissary, Brigade quarter Master, Principal field commissary who will leave a conductor with the stores which will remain the Waggon Master & Forage Master [inserted: each of whom] each of whom will if practicable leave a deputy. The [struck: remaining] companies of yours [inserted & struck: will be] [struck: will] at West point will be order'd to join on the other side the river but you [strikeout] are not to wait for them. [3] I shall [struck: probably] order two 8 inch howitzers to meet you [struck: after] the West Side Kings Ferry, you will [struck: endev] procure cattle for them and take them and your charges, however if they should not arrive in time you are not to wait for them - [struck: In addition] To the stores which Mr Frothingham is before orderd to take, one hundred Arms & accoutrem[ents] is to be added.
