Mentions that he found he owned shares in the Patterson Manufactory, of which Lowe was President, and which was sponsored in part by their late mutual friend [Alexander] Hamilton. Knox's research suggested that the institution owns land nearby, and Knox writes to ask about the status of it, and how valuable his shares might be. |
