Additional Information Likely to Thomas Lloyd Halsey (1751-1838). He was born in Boston and settled in Providence as a leading shipping merchant. He also served as a French consular agent during the American Revolution. Halsey married Sarah Bowen (1751-1782) and, after her death, Mary Smith (1767-1846).
