Additional Information | Smith was an English parodist. He and his brother James wrote the famous "Rejected Addresses" (1812) which burlesqued such contemporary poets as Wordsworth, Scott, Coleridge, and Byron. Colburn was a British publisher who, in 1814, originated the New Monthly Magazine. |
