Content Description | Writes, "I arrived at this place on my way to West Point but the ice has prevented me from proceeding any further and I am obligated to return to Carolina immediately which makes it necessary for me to go to Newark immediately. The brave I have entrusted with a letter to my Father and take the liberty of requesting your aid to assist him in passing the river, which request your goodness will pardon me for." Sends his regards to Mrs. Knox. |
