Content Description | Secretary of State Blaine writes to Chief Clerk of the State Department Brown telling him to "send to White House treaty with paper prepared yesterday in connection therewith." Blaine's memorandum is written in ink. The date on the piece is in pencil and is not in Blaine's hand. On the verso is a note in pencil (which appears to be in the same hand as the writer of the date) that reads: "M. L. 1158 a.m." |
