Expresses a fear that [i]f New York should after all not come in - the new constitution will be in danger..." Signature is cut out. Additional Information Wadsworth is most likely Jeremiah Wadsworth who was an American sea captain, merchant, and statesman from Hartford, Connecticut. He was responsible for supplying the Continental Army and was a member of the Connecticut Convention which ratified the U.S. Constitution. He also served as a Connecticut Representative from 1789-1794.
