Transcript	Show/hide Paris March 12. 1783 Sir Mr. Joshua Grigby Junior, is well recommended to me as the eldest Son of a Country Gentleman in England of 2000 £ a year in Suffolk, who has an income of 500 £ a year in his own distinct Right. He wishes to Settle and be happy in America, where he cannot fail to be so with his Means and Prospects, if he has the disposition. He will be able to inform you more exactly than I can, of the State of Parties and Politicks [sic], in England. I beg Leave to recommend him to your Civilities, and to Subscribe myself, Sir, your most obedient and most humble Servant J. Adams. His Excellency : Elias Boudinot Esqr President of Congress.
