Apparently due to some error they were sent as artificers to the wrong company, but as they had been appointed by Knox as conductors, a Captain Sears has ordered their return to their rightful company and position. Note on bottom of verso, in Knox's hand, says the letter was answered by Captain [likely John] Lillie. |
