Content Description Written by Major General Sullivan to Steele as Paymaster General of the Army. Official note requesting payment of 100 dollars to Morris Gibbons for "bringing off" 3 British prisoners. Co-signed by Secretary Bryan Bruin and countersigned by Morris Gibbons that he received the money. Dated without a year as 9 November. The year 1778 is inferred because Sullivan was named commander of Rhode Island in early 1778 until March 1779.
