Content Description Leather bound journal of North, who was working in a merchant's office in Boston. He worked there until the British closed the port at Boston in Fall 1774. Journal describes his journey from New York to Albany. Travelled by ship from Boston to the Hudson River. Mentions meeting Philip Schuyler and Philip Livingston, among other notable New Yorkers. Tells of his business and social interactions with prominent people in Albany. In last entry says he leaves Albany. End of journal has a separate list of his travel expenses.
