Content Description Document contains three letters. The first, dated 22 March 1792, is signed by Phillips, Jarvis and Read. On behalf of the Committee for the Sale of the Eastern Lands belonging to the Commonwealth (presumably of Massachusetts), they agree to sell Jackson and his associate [Royal] Flint lands which lie between borders they outline. Also outline the price and terms of the deal. The second letter, dated 23 March 1792, is from Jackson to the Committee. He asks for an extension of fifteen days to complete the transaction, in order to make arrangements with other business partners. The third letter, signed by Phillips, Jarvis and Read and dated 23 March 1792, agree to Jackson's request. Docketed by Henry Knox.
