Title | Note from Alexander Campbell to L. H. Campbell enclosing a letter for immediate printing |
Date | ca. 9 December 1843 - 9 December 1866 |
Author | Campbell, Alexander (1788-1866) |
Recipient | Campbell, L. H. |
Document Type | Correspondence |
Content Description | Writing to his wife, he encloses a letter to be "sent to the printing office to Mr. McDermot or Mr. Pendleton immediately." Campbell was the principal founder of the Disciples of Christ. From 1830 onward many of his short pieces first were printed in the Millennial Harbinger. Pendleton is possibly William Kimbrough Pendleton, who edited the Millennial Harbinger from 1846 to 1855. Date of letter inferred from the operating years of Campbell's printing office at Bethany, Virginia, 1843 until his death in 1866. |
