Content Description As Adjutant General to the British Army, Delancy writes to Knox telling him that "the publick stores left at the commmissarys storehouses in New York, should be protected untill [sic] proper persons could be sent to remove them .. " Delancey writes at the direction of Sir Guy Carleton.
