Show/hide Sir I could not write to You by Captain Floyer to answer Yours by Miller since which I have receiv'd your favour of the 12th Instant You know how busie I always am I have been of late very much so in assisting Donnell & Miller in going up to Manis the Ordnance Packett with Capt. Morry and fourty Men go to convoy them up and to stay three or four days with them and then leave them if necessary some men for their protection. about a dozen Indians have shewn themselves at Montagnes and up the Cape which have [illegible] caus'd the usual discourse and some fear amongst the Inhabitants of the lower Town. Butt I am apt to believe they will not continue long. I have writt to Governour Shirley concerning Your proposal in your last I would fain wait to see what answer I shall have to what I writt home on your subject. I have receiv'd a letter from Catain Forshringham on of the 15th Jany. last who give me no news and very little hopes of my being as yet reimburs'd for the money I laid out on contingencies for wood &ca. Captain Floyer will acquaint you with our News here I doubt not of your assisting him to the best of your power. I am oblig'd to write this att twelve att night contrary to my custom.
