Content Description Financial document signed by Ellsworth as a member of the Connecticut Pay Table Committee. The committee was responsible for Connecticut's finances during the Revolution. To Connecticut Treasurer John Lawrence. Payment of four pounds, 18 shillings, and eight pence is for Simeon Brooks and Giles for delivering saltpetre. Note, signed by Cornelius Higgins, says the payment was received. Another document signed, signed by John Treadwell, says the payment was audited on 1 September 1777.
