Content Description In addition to news from Europe and the colonies, and various advertisements and announcements, each issue touches on the controversy surrounding the Stamp Act. Issue 1926 reports on a Massachusetts resolution against the Stamp Act and the burying of a copy of the act in Portsmouth and Hartford (p. 1). Reprints an article with resolutions from Connecticut in opposition to the act (p. 2-3) and reports on activities in New York (p. 3). Issue 1927 reports on a meeting of Massachusetts freeholders in opposition to the Stamp Act and speeches in the House of Assembly in Boston (p. 1), as well as activities in New York and Philadelphia against the act (p. 2-3). Issue 1928 contains several congratulatory addresses to Henry Moore along with the resignation of the New York stamp distributor (p. 1). Also contains a statement against the Stamp Act and other related news from New York and Boston (p. 2-3). Issue 1929 contains an account of the proceedings of the Sons of Liberty from New York (p. 1-2). Contains Stamp Act-related news from Boston, New Haven Portsmouth, and Philadelphia (p. 2-3). Issue 1930 has an extract from the minutes of the New Jersey Assembly relating to the Stamp Act and an extract from the House of Representatives in New York regarding the same topic (p. 1). Other news about the Stamp Act from New York and Philadelphia appears (p. 3). Issue 1931 contains news from Boston, Annapolis, and Fredericktown all criticizing the Stamp Act (p. 1). Other Stamp Act news from Boston and New York, along with an essay titled "Liberty, Property, and no Stamps" appears (p. 2-3).
