Content Description | Peter Robert informs his father that "We have a Society Established here of Members from the Different Dissenting Congregations in the City . . . in order to inform the Different Congregations in the Province of every thing that is carryed on here in which their Religious or Civil Liberty are in any danger of Suffering." He asks that Robert, Jr. keep the matter confidential "for fear it may gitt into bad hands and I may be charged with a Breach of trust by my Constituants," and specifically states that it should be kept from James Duane. |
