Beloved Dearest Mother,
Since my letter to you per xxxxxx the wife of Tobias Ten Brooek with £3:- for Jannetje Dijckman I have been honoured with a letter from father dated the first of this month, in which he writes me that he lacks the writ which has been sent to the Constables in order to elect, on the back of which these words have to be, The Execution of this writ appears by the Indenture hereunto annexed wittnesse our hands this 22nd day of April 1717 in manor Livingston The Constables have to sign that. Sister Johanna can write these English words on the back of the writx. I send this up special because it has to be done immediately, for Frans Winne is leaving now and will be at yours tomorrow or the day after tomorrow to pick up the writ he has promised me positively, in case he has good winds or passes at night he will (shoot) so you can send it then with a canoo I am sending with him 2 doz. Dutch.....(secaten? Honey cakes with fruits?) at £4:- or such as the price at New York is and 1 ½ dozen frying pans at 25£:- the piece. I wish no earlier payment or any other than father gives to the people in New York for now nothing else but the greetings from me and my wife to you and sister Your servant and humble son Ph. Livingston I have received yours now am very grateful for the skins you sent per Nanning I and my wife are very sad that your illness is worse we hope it will get better quickly
