Content Description | Convicted for violation of Section 3893 of the Revised Statutes (possibly in reference to the Comstock Law). While on bond Hicks fled to Europe, where he remained a fugitive until 10 July 1915, when he surrendered to the court. Commuted by Wilson so Hicks sentence would expire at once, no reason given. See also GLC 230.02 which restored his civil rights. Printed document with blanks filled in by hand. |
