Transcript	Show/hide [draft excerpts] "Whoever will examine with candor the conduct of the President of the UStates relative to the Indian tribes [within] the general limits of the United States will have just cause to admire and approve his measures - In the year 1789, the flames of War between the creeks and the citizens of Georgia [raged] almost to the city of Savannah itself and Guards were mounted in that City to prevent a [surprize] of Indians - Arrangements were made for a treaty [inserted: with the Creeks] under the provisions made by [strikeout] [inserted: the old [government] and] [Commissioners] were approved by the three southern states for that purpose..."
