To John Laurence, the Treasurer of Connecticut. Receipt is to pay Brigadier General Joseph Spencer 150 pounds, as he is paymaster of the First Company of the Second Regiment that is to be raised in Connecticut. Countersigned by Spencer on verso that he received the money. Marked that it was audited 13 May 1776. |
